Hi all,I read this section all the time and have asked a few questions over the months...and received great answers. I have finally been allowed to have a new dog.(husband worrried about the upset we went through) I lost my beloved Border Collie,Jade, 2 years ago and miss her every day. A friend of a friend's dog had a litter of 10 labradors in April and they are so beautiful. Anyway, long story short...I named her Lottie and she comes home with me August 9. I am so happy and can't wait to share photos and news with you all.

Oooh, I am so thrilled and honoured!

I am so pleased for you Barb. Can't wait to see the photos and to hear all about your new baby. She will never replace Jade because Jade was a one off and that's how it should be. It's good that she is a completely different breed too. Lottie will just occupy I different place in your heart and you will love her just as much as Jade. What a lucky young lady she is to have a wonderful home and caring owners waiting for her.

Very best wishes

Lottie
Ethel's a nice name for a puppy.

Glad for you. :)
I had an Aunty Ethel. She was lovely - very glamourous, and quite a saucy lady!!

Thanks to you both. I am so excited about getting her. She is adorable. Her mum is such a lovely temperament and my friend has 2 labs from previous family litters. They are the reason I decided to get one of the pups. She already knows her name as she has been called Lottie from 2 weeks!! Jade was a one off...totally. I remember how kind everyone on here was to me when I lost her. I still have a little cry about her but she had 17 long happy years. Ethel is A LOVELY name too, sorry Ethel!

Awww, how cute is that?
Now I am getting really broody, what with WhiskeySheri's picture of Oscar the kitten and now this gorgeous little bundle....................

Funny, I never did feel broody about human babies!

Lottie the Little Lab is just so perfect!

So glad you like your namesake...that was hard work doing that cos me and this technology lark are not well matched but I managed it just so you could see her! I never had broodiness over human babies either. Lottie the Lab will be well loved. She's already enrolled for Puppy Training on Oct 6. Well,I am! Thanks to you all x
oh she is absolutely gorgeous!!

Pickles (my 2 year old Bedlington) is curled up at my feet at the moment and your picture made me dig out her puppy pictures.

Oh dear - getting broody!!
She is so gorgeous - Lottie suits her too!
Oh barb1314 she is adorable what a beauty, I bet you are counting the days.Good health and happiness to your new baby.g.
Oh, she is sooo cute! It is making me broody and my pup is only 9 months! I didn't see your original post about Jade, I just want to say I am sorry for your loss, I know how it feels, we lost our beautiful Greyhound, Brody, 3 years ago but I still have a cry now and then.
I am looking forward to seeing more pics of this beautiful pup! x
Awwww, she looks more like a Kola to me.lol

Only kidding, shes lovely and Lottie suits her.

Oh I never expected so many lovely comments..thankyou. She is the cutest...I hope she loves me as much as I love her already! Will keep you posted..only 30 days to go. On a count down. (But I do visit every Sunday)
she is beautiful no wonder you cant .i still shed a tear over mine that have passed on .but most of the time the memories are happy ones arnt they, so pleased your husband has come round to the idea
Lots of love to your soon-to-be pup Barb, she is adorable! Lovely Lottie indeed, a well-chosen name :)

Take care x
Lottie sounds like she will have a lovely home. What a sensible way to get a new puppy, regular visits before getting her, and a breeder who obviously cares about her puppies.
Far better than those who 'want one yesterday' and buy the first one they see advertised in the local paper.

Too many names to say hi to but thanks all for your good wishes. Lankeela..you gave me all the hip and eye score info and she has 4/4 parents for her hips...pretty good I think...so thanks for that. Hopefully we'll have few problems but I'm sure I'll be able to rely on you all here if we do.Her current Mum,Wendy, will even have her pups back for holidays to avoid kennels if poss which I thought was lovely.Oh bring on all those walks,I can't wait to get out there again. Not that we don't walk but it's kind of strange with no dog company. Love reading about all your fur babies. xx
that's a beautiful dog. hope she brings you much happiness.
You are so lucky. I had a black labrador and he was the sweetest gentlest dog ever. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoyed ours. He died 11 years ago but I still cry for him cos I loved him so much.
