I have a Yorkie. They are not huge eaters and the vet tells me that terriers in general only eat when they are hungry and are not like some breeds of dog (e.g. labradors that are virtual dustbins)! If he is fit and healthy with plenty of energy then he is OK. I would be inclined to put his food down for 10 mins and if he doesn't eat it, take it away. Don't leave it down. Keep putting it down for him every hour or so and take it away if not eaten. Eventually he will eat it. Keep to one brand of food for a while as otherwise he will expect you to keep ringing the changes! Once you have got him to realise he can't wind you round his little finger (paw!) and that you are boss, you can then introduce other foods. Good luck.
I've had Yorkies my whole life. Two of them weren't big eaters. My vet told me to try cooking good sirloin and mixing it with cooked white rice. Make sure you rinse as much grease as possible off the meat before you mix them. We would make enough for a week or so and give them some once a day! I was surprised when the vet told me this, but the dogs sure did eat it! Good Luck!
A bit expensive though!
