Is there any natural ant deterant? They seem to be taking over my whole patio!

Pour some `White Vinegar` in the holes they emerge from.
Hi again, use White distilled vinegar, it`s amazing what white vinegar can be used for.
Failing that, get yourself an aardvark! lol
Dig up the patio and put grass down.
Def white distilled vinegar!!! Amazing stuff. I don't mind a few ants etc but there does come a point when the numbers get out of hand.

Patio, grass, border , paths - this stuff works!! I won't use chemicals because of various reasons - but think you will find this will be ok as natural ant deterant. x
Apparently tumeric and cinnamon work well also.
Oh that's interesting cancross - will give it a go. This is what i love about this site, this section, so much info - very interesting hearing what other folks use as opposed to pesticides etc. Many thanks. :o)
I am currently hiring out my youngest cat.... she adores catching and eating ants (I kid you not).....

Cheekystar - you can have her right now if you like.... this morning, I was awoken by a neighbour banging on my door, telling me that my youngest (cat) was on her roof ........ she (the dastardly cat) is a little terror and always getting into trouble haha...
