My 1 year old minature schnauzer for approximAYELY 2 DAYS PER WEEK WANDERS AROUND THE HOUSE APPEARING LATHARGIC AND DAZED. HE DOES NOT RESPOND WELL DURING THIS PERIOD. HE WILL THEN CHEW WIRES AND OTHER ITEMS AROUND THE HOME. HE IS FREQUENTLY EXERCISED, HAS LITTLE TIME ALONE AND LOTS OF TOYS AND ATTENTION. HE WILL EVEN CHEW INFRONT OF PEOPLE AND THEN HAS TO BE PHYSICALLY MOVED FROM THE ITEM.PLEASE HELP. DESPERATE DOG OWNER

maybe its because you suDDENLY START SHOUTING IN THE MIDDLE OF A SENTENCE! (sorry thats no help at all is it but i just couldn't resist) has he only just started doing this or has he always done it? if he's only just started doing it have you changed his food/routine recently?
I don't want to worry you, but this sounds like it might be a mild form of epilepsy. Caught early, its really controllable, but you do need to take him to the vet.
I think Wolfgang is right. I know I keep mentioning my poor blind cat, but he suffers in the same way. This has been controlled for years by steroid tablets which have not had any adverse affect on him. Do take him to the vet.
Check out something called hyperchylomicronaemia. Does this occur after eating?? Get him to a vet
