Cats have lost their appetite

My 10-month old cats have suddenly lost their appetites, however they aren't showing any other signs of being ill. They aren't quite as active as normal because they are real fair-weather moggies and they don't go out much when it rains (which it has been doing incessantly). My partner thinks they're just not getting enough exercise to work up their usual appetites, but I'm in two minds if I should take them to the vets or not. As I say, they're behaving normally apart from the lack of appetite. Maybe they're like me - on a diet after Christmas!

how long exactly have they not eaten and what food have you tried them on? are they drinking water? don't give them milk. try dangling string and getting them to chase as this might give them appetite. if not look inside their mouths for signs of tooth decay. if all else fails, give vets a ring and seek their advice. best of luck, two cats owner, gwent.
