My new flatmate has a new 10 wk old kitten and is moving into mine on Sat. I can be a little bit allergic to cat hair and I'm worried about it weeing everywhere to mark its territory. Is there any thing i can do to stop this happening?

I was going to buy a large potted plant but told that cats wee in the pots so was advised to put orange peel in the soil. Also, will ornage oil work and where can i buy it?

Thanks

You are in for a world of hell. Are you mad, letting someone with a kitten move in? Say goodbye to you settee, curtains and plant pots, and hello to cat litter everywhere, wet stains and being woken at 5am everyday. They don't recognise weekends. Mad.
My cat has never peed anywhere other than in his litter tray and I've had him since he was 10 weeks old.

As long as it has a litter tray and is litter trained, you should be fine. Males tend to spray more than females, I don't know how long your new flatmate will be around but if she gets her kitten neutered when he (assuming its a boy) is old enough (about 6mths) then he shouldn't spray. Mine never has.
Cheekychops is right - it's only a kitten and is probably already litter trained. Regarding your allergy, if you buy an ioniser (from somewhere like Boots), that can help settle the dust. It worked for us when my son was little and developed asthma - I was a lousy mum & refused to get rid of my cat! Fortunately, K jnr grew out of it (the asthma, that is, not the cat). Allergy is caused by the dander from the cat (like dandruff in humans), not their hair, so try the ioniser treatment - get one for every room where puss is allowed. They're not expensive.
