My Kitten has blood on her bottom

Why does my kitten have a bit of blod coming out of her bottom after she's been to the loo? Shes has had the runs due to change of food but other than that seems to be her usual bright eyed lively self. Will phone the vet tomorrow but in the meantime should I be worried?

I hope your vet has been able to put you mind at rest - it may be due to the change in her diet, but she could have a clostridium infection - the symptoms are blood in faeces & the runs as well. Has she had her vaccinations yet? If it is clostridium, as long as it's caught early it can be cured easily. Good luck.

Shes had her jabs, and shes going to the vets this afternoon for a check over. They dont seem too worried as she is still lively! So hopefully its nothing. Thanks for replying.

its prob where she is constipated through change of food and making her bottom bleed, if any thing more serious then the blood would be black looking coz of traveling through the body.
