As far as i'm aware all (most?) tics just burrow their head under the skin, the rest of the body is visable on the skin.

Thanku xD
Additionally, the tick will become quite visibile in a short period of time as it becomes engorged with the blood it's sucking from the host. It will be about the size of an eraser on the end of pencil. Don't try to pull it off since the head will be left in the skin and can become infected. There are a number of ways to remove it safely, but the best is probably to soak a "Q-tip" (cotton swab) in alcohol and apply it to the tick... it will soon back out of it's bite and can then be killed and flushed down the toilet...
Hi, I agree with the answers you have already, they are quite right.

This is what they look like when full of blood. They just bury their legs into the animal (or human!) and eventually fall off. They get to about the size of a currant.

Vaseline works well too. Make sure that you cover the tick completely and just wait for it to fall off then flush down to toilet or squish it.
try one of these for removal.

the head part is in the skin, the body fills with blood and stays outside, there can be an infection when they are removed, this may result in a lump.
