Rabbits chew things- you cant stop it. All you can do is redirect the chewing- provide lumps of untreated wood, apples, other veg. As well as that give the rabbit things to occupy itself- that mainly means allowing it to excercise. I was horrified to read that the rabbit is the most abused (unintentionally maybe) pet in the UK. Most pet rabbits spend their life in a cage barely three times their size- imagine spending your life shut in the bathroom! They should have the biggest run possible attached to their hutch.
yep agree with burnhal, it probably wont chew its cage if it has plenty of things to occupy its mind - and a large enclosed run.
