What sort of noises can a badger make?
Could it be like a blood curdling sound if they are fighting or protecting their territory?

We back onto dense woodland and when I first heard the sound blood curdling was a good description. I had to investigate so with a 12v searchlight went into the wood. It was a lone badger just rooting around in leaf litter, it sounded like someone dying a painful death!!
we had something around my mums making that noise last year, im such a woss though, when i got woken up by the noise, i was too scared to go to my window to shut it :(
Turns out it was a fox, but it sounded like something from a horror film!
The neighbours cat had a run in with it one night, poor Whisky, he was so terrified he ran into the house, into the front room and then died of a heart attack. He was literally scared to death :(
At this time of year Foxes make the strangest noises whilst mating.
this sounds strange but my neighbour informed me that my cat was fifhting with a fox a few weeks ago and the noise i heard during the night was a fox which i assumed was fighting with another animal not my cat and the sounds was like a blood curdling scream i think badgers make a growling noise
Badgers make a whole lot of noises, including an awful shrill painful sounding scream along with strange bird-like clucking sounds. They do growl too, but they are much louder and scray sounding than foxes. The badger cubs are the worst, when their mother had wandered off they scream and wail and it sounds like a monster from a horror film!
