What is your most favourite breed of dog?

Got to say my favourite breed of dog is a Westie. I have one of the smaller variety but my last one was a lorger type of breed. Love them both.

Rather confused by your answer as there is only one correct type of Westie - the breed standard asks for both dogs and bitches to be approximately 28 centimetres (11 inches) at the withers. Any size either smaller or larger is incorrect, still a Westie but not bred to the standard.

I have Lancashire Heelers but have to say my favourite breed is German Shepherds. Faithful, intelligent, biddable and wonderful to look at (if bred correctly).

Just thought I would add a short comment here.
Yes, I love Westies no matter what size or whether they are bred to standard.
In fact. I love all dogs regardless what breed or what they look like.
As long as animals are loved, that is all that matters.
Hope all dog lovers feel the same.

I must agree with cruella, i like all dogs,just some more then others, however as I've already said in a previous similar post GSDs are definatly top dog

I have always had mongrels ! My current old boy is a GSD cross ..more GSD than anything else ...a bit of lab in there somewhere.If I had to pick a breed then it would be the GSD.
Would you like to see a piccie of him when he was a young man ? I unashamedly plaster his picture everywhere becuase I love him !!

I have kept German Shepherds for 34 years now and was in the army as kennel maid/dog handler with mostly GSD's, I love all colours even the frowned upon ones, I currently have 3, 2 black/tan semi long haired and 1 buff long haired, I also have a Border Collie with just a hint of Jack Russell, while I prefer German Shepherds, I love all dogs, large and small.

Until 12 weeks ago I would have said Irish Setters as I had until my last one died, had setters for 23 years. Now I have a Whippet crossed with some sort of terrier so that is my favourite.

Gotta be rotties for me, when raised correctly they are the most wonderful,loyal, laid back and sensible dogs ive ever known. our 1st lived until she was 13 and was just perfect. our current is 9 and a half, still thinks he's a pup and is just an angel!

Ive got a cocker spaniel who is ace but my next dog will be a Shiba Inu,they are beautiful.

i have a pug a bulldog a shih tzu and a neapolitan mastiff. Have a soft spot for gus my bull dog though but thats down to his personality more than anything.

Definately Shar Pei, that's why we have 12 of them.
