Black circles in front of the eyes

After i have laid on my pillow for a short while i see black circles when opening my eyes, they are about 1/2 " in diameter, i do not get it during the day,

Have anyone else experienced any thing like it.

I think it is just the brain remembering an image and being confused with the darkness!!
