R.I.P Chalky

Just read in the paper today that Rick Steins faithful companion Chalky has died aged 17 and am really gutted. Will miss him trying to bite the cameraman and chasing the other animals. Have fun chasing the other dogs in doggie heaven Chalky! x

He was the best part of the show without a doubt. He lived to a good age for a terrier too. Little star!!! So cute.

Feel as though I've lost a friend - he was so much part of the show and so endearing - they leave such a gaping hole in our lives when they go - So long, Chalky

Bless, he was a star in himself, remember the time he caught the baby rabbit in the woman's garden and killed it (she used to be on Tomorrow's World), Rick Stein was mortified but Chalky was only doing what was natural, that and stealing the show!

warpig1 ..that was Judith Hann ... that was a hilarious episode ... almost as funny as the one where Rick got 'nipped' by a crayfish ...

Yeah, almost as funny as the one when chalky decided he was going to pick on all the pigs that were out eating acorns on a farm! The funniest though was when Rick 'smuggled' him into a hotel because they found out at the last minute that they didnt allow dogs!! Class.
Will miss him so much and Rick must feel like he's lost a limb. my thoughts are with you Rick but we'll all still laugh and smile when we see repeats of your show and see Chalky's funny antics x

Perhaps they will re-run the best prgoramme with Chalky in, (the Judith one was every so funny, you're right!) there won't be a dry eye in the house.

think thats a great idea eyeshade - maybe we could all bombard the BBC with that suggestion and get Chalky's greatest hits, or bites(!!) on tv!
