I recently found a small hedgehog running across the road. I picked it up and put it in my garden so it wouldn't get runover. I leave plenty of water and cat food out, I even made it a house! Is there anything else I can do to make sure i's happy? I would appreciate any advice. Thankyou .

Awww bless you, I adore hedgehogs- lol.

As long as it's got access to water and food I should imagine it'll be happy, and it may stay a regular visitor to your garden:-)
In my local pet shop they are staring to sell hedgehog food! But any wildlife website should be able to give you some more advice.
Cheers Sue
Only advice I can give is to never feed a hedgehog fishy flavour cat food. I tend to leave straw out for my hedgehogs about this time of year so they can start nest building (usually under the garden shed).
Me again! :-)

Found this for you.

puddycat - why no fishy flavoured cat food? Apart from the fact that it stinks and looks gross.

Thanks everyone for your advice! I've used the websites you gave me and i've found out that he is a boy, and is very healthy. I think i'm going to call him Bramley. Hopefully he will stay in my garden and eat all my slugs!!
Nice one. Why 'Bramley'?
Wolf - sorry to take so long coming back to you. Fish based food and cow's milk make hedgehogs ill. I'm not sure why, I guess fish is too alien to their natural diet and their unable to properly digest it. They'll eat any type of meat based food though.

bad news guys, Bramley passed away this morning. He was taken ill in the night so I took him to my local animal rescue centre, they said he was peaceful and had died of a worm infection. There was nothing they could do. At least he wasn't in any pain.
