A lion cannot kill an Indian elephant cos they live in different places. A tiger cannot kill an African elephant: same reason. A lion would not be able to kill an elephant on its own. An elephant wouldn't want to kill for food.

Who asked about tigers? No no, stop confusing the issue, can a lion kill an AFRICAN elephant? Not for food necessarily, let's just assume it was annoyed or wanted to. Could it?

Why on earth would it have any possible reason to....Lions are pretty canny animals and will always pick on the weakest animal in a group as it will provide the easiest kill but they never attack fully grown (which i am assuming you mean) elephants just out of size....i suppose if enough of them ganged up on one nellie then possibly but one on one I don't think so

Oh for Pete's sake, take a hypothetical lion and a hypothetical elephant that do want to have a fight. I don't know why, it's not important, maybe the elephant's been trying it on with Mrs Lion, it doesn't matter, the point is, if they DID have a scrap, could the lion win?

Yes, if it's a baby elephant or if it's a weak elederly elephant which is near death already.

For a Lion or a group of Lion or Tiger or a group of Tigers it will be difficult to kill a fully grown elephant, but it is often seen that Lions often kill halfly grown elephants in some areas of Africa. But it is almost imposible for a single Lion to kill a fully grown elephant.
