My niece is having problems and of her brother - older by 2 years and a sis, older by 3 years she is the only one in her family to be emotional. The father is a control freak, a sexist a chauvinist but does take care of his family n they are loaded.....but he wont let her DO anything....she goes to school out of town so doesnt get to mix with teenagers in her area, and isnt allowed out with her friends at a weekend. The two older teenagers went to the local school so they have no problem n are now at college and drive so they have lots of freedom. All my niece wants is to be respected, noticed and not to be called names becos she is quite tall, and thinks she has a big nose, whereas really, she is lovely and pretty and it is just other teenagers being cruel.....
She is in love with a lad who is a complete prat and treats her like dirt but she feels stupid cos she isn't allowed to do anything or go anywhere out of school unless she is with her parents. Heeeeeeeeeeeeelppppppppp!! TIA

seems to me they wont let her grow up and they are trying to keep her under there control but there might be a valid reason that you do not know about. have you thought about speaking to them on her behalf and perhaps inviteing her out with there go ahead and widen her life out with some hobbies etc. perhaps she has to prove to them that she is responsable of doing things for herself she made need confidence to do this she sound a bit timid. you dont say how old she is. but wish her the best of luck life will get better for her im sure. tell her to chuck the boyfriend shes worth more than that.
