I went back to work today after the long holiday and my little dog was obviously VERY cross about being left, when I got home I found that he had opened the fridge and eaten 2 large packets of fresh filled pasta and 2 packets of butter!!!!

hi there, i went back to work 3 weeks ago after 7 weeks hols ( work at school ) . the last 2 weeks of the hols we left our one yr old lab on his own for 1 hour then added an hour a day til we got to the time he is left while im at work. we had no bother at all. he was just used to you being there then all of a sudden he was on his own again !!
LOL-Cheeky little pup!!!
the butter will cause a mess! I know 'coz I've been three. Fair cleared out my dog's digestive track.

He punctured my mum's asthma inhaler too.

Hope things go well tomorrow.
You think that's bad!!! Years ago my Dane, then aged about 18 months, managed to get into the freezer while I was at the hospital having a pregnancy scan..... three hours later he'd eaten near on the whole contents, including a whole frozen chicken! On other occasions he ate; play doh, washing powder, the spice cupboard[that was fun!], the obligatory shoes and a leather jacket! So I would count yourself lucky....lol

Same here!! A few years back I left the pup at home as I always did when I went to work. Got home and she'd eaten, a pack of butter, a tub of fresh cream, half a loaf of bread, a calculator (except the numbers) all my ex's paperwork, the toothpaste, every loo roll, a bin bag, my spare glasses, a mobile phone charger and a fluffly cushion. I got home and heard her squealing in the bathroom and the taps going, I thought my ex was up there bathing her, so I tidied up and sat down to watch some TV, about an hour later I realised he'd not come down so I went to have a look. Somehow she'd managed to shut the bathroom door behind her, turn the cold tap on full and block the plug hole. There she was, having the time of her life, playing with the toothpaste tubes floating in the water. Did we have fun for the next week or so!!!
God this thread has cheered me up no end - I was so miserable but after reading this I have laughed my head off.Thankyou!
