sick chestnut trees

Where I live (in Suffolk) the leaves on the horse chestnut trees are all brown and withered. Is this because of the drought (but then why are other trees not affected) or disease?

Weakened by 3 years of drought, now under attack from European leaf moths, a new form of bleeding canker, a fungal disease similar to potato blight. (Independent)
