We have 12 week old girl kitten. Cant think of (or agree on ) a good name. I like Sybil but no-one else does. Hubby likes Kitty but its not exactly original is it? Son likes Tixy but it sounds cough medicine.

Any ideas?

How about Nermal? Who's from Garfield, she's got her very own title as 'The Worlds cutest Kitten' dontcha know! heh ;-)
Mine was called Daisy, very cute I thought. That was until I took 'her' to the vets for 'her' shots. I left with Barney!
Sounds similar to ours. I liked trixie - but sounds like ticksy licks! Hubby said Kit - not very original - we decided on twix! Easier for our baby son to say! Is this your first kitten & if so, does she have a smell? Sorry, I think I'm obsessed but I can really smell a sweet kind of smell I'm not used to - we have dogs so I'm used to pets... but cats....???!!
How about Princess or Sophie.
Crystal / Purdy / Penny / Fable / Toffee / Fudge / Smudge / Tilly / Pumpkin / Teasle

To name but a few.....do let us all know what you name the gorgeous little bundle of fluff...
astrophe or aclysm (think about it!)
Ours was called Nina. She was a sweety
Willow is a lovely name for a cat I always think.
I like names like

Spike
Angus
Rover
Fido
Cat
Mutt
but as she is a girl Abbie is nice.
Our kitten was originally called Mouse.....
Try this web site, we found it useful when we got two kittens last year:
absolutelycats.tripod.com

One that no one will have:

Lelly Bubbin!!!!!

(my son could never say belly button ha ha!!)
My cat's always picked their own names: I had a black cat with a white foot named snowdrop, until summer when we changed his name to Mange as that is what he caught, and you can guess what stuck. The lab at the vet thought it was really funny.
My other cat is named Scruffy because she is.
I like names that are unique because we see so many Fluffys and Midnights and Kittys at work. We had a pair named Nip and Tuck! they were fun.
Cheers
Kim
How about rover or fido!! That would be a change to the norm!
we called ours Molly and Rosie

Thanks so much for all your ideas. I must admit we have had a few giggles thinking of totally ridiculous names. (some that we couldnt call out at the back door of a night).

Will try to think of something pretty cos she is so cute. Hope she is a girl, havent been to the vet yet.

Like Willow, Twix is cute. I'd always wanted to call a pet Honey but she is tortoiseshell so that doesnt work!

Re the smell - I dont think she has a bad smell at all but the doggy we are doggy sitting at the mo does. He smells of sweaty dog and he pees on the floor every time he gets excited.

Just found out we got him for an extra night as his mum and dad stuck at the airport!! Doh.
I think you should call her Sybil uf thats what you like my kittens called Gilbert or Gilly for short my partner hated it at first but now we wouldnt dream of changing it and its a perfect name for his personality
My female cat is called Lexi, but I've always liked the name Athena....
I always thought if I got a cat I would call it Claudia (clawdia)
How about naming her after one of the Greek, Roman or Egyptian Queens or Goddesses?
Phoebe - Tetra - Artemis - Cleo(patra), Athena, Venus, Aphrodite, Vesta, etc....there are loads of these names in a Thesaurus.
The likelihood is that, even with a formal name, you'll end up giving her a nickname - many cat lovers do!
