microchipping - again

what information is contained on microchips? if i moved would she have to be rechipped? or is there a number to call?

there is a number to call where they just change the details on their database ..... they charge you mind!
Anyway, it would depend which company the chip was registerd to re the number to call ... you should have had some paperwork when you had your pet chipped and it will be on there

Not every mirochip can be read by every scanner. Make sure that you use one that is as close to universal as possible. I prefer tattoos because they are easier to read and more obvious.
When we got our dog chipped a few years ago she had a chip put in that the vet could read her temperature using his scanner as well as the number.

Tattoos? Can you tattoo a cat? I don't think I would even if I could. A bit more pain to inflict than an injection.
dont tend to tattoo cats there ears not really big enough and they would need a sedative at least as they would not tolerate it, microchipping is really the best option
but if anyones had there cat tattooed would be interested to hear!
