Worms. You need to get some de-worming stuff from the vet.
Or infected anal glands. Our dog gets this quite often. You'll need to bathe his behind with warm salty water. Perhaps go see your vet???

Yep, sounds like blocked anal glands to me.... our terrier gets it every few months, and had to have a trip to the vet to get them, erm, squeezed and cleared :oS
Yep Anal Glands. Go to your vet and get them squeezed. Be prepared for the smell!!
during defaecation, pressure is put on the anal sacs, situated at the dogs backside, and some of the sebacous secretion the anal glands make is smeared on the final faecal deposit. This is believed to be of great importance in territory marking. Sometimes the glands may become impacted causing the dog to drag it's backside along the floor or even bite at it's back end. A vet will empty the glands using his fingers and this is quite easy, and might need repeating every couple months or so. IF it really bacomes a problem surgical removal may be required, but it would have to be extreme. My springer has had hers done about 4 times a year for the past 4 years. It does SMELL
