Border Collies, how do they get so white

Ive got a border collie pup, she is constanlty dirty from digging so her white bits go black. But they soon go back white again. She hasnt really learnt how to clean her self propably so im wondering how do her white get back white again????????

From walking and lying and rubbing on your carpets, furniture and hands.

We have a border collie cross and have noticed the same thing. He rolls around in the dirt and gets very dirty , but always manages to look very clean. People always think we bathe him a lot, but we hardly ever bathe him. We think it has something to do with the oils in his fur.

My wife and I are sold on border collies. They are awsome dogs. Does yours crouch down and give you a strange psycho look when he wants something?

Yes she does, put then she gives me psycho look all the time becasue usually she is acting like one. This is our 2 pedrigree and weve had 2 crosses. They are amazing dogs, very loving!!!
