My jack russell that we've had over 7 years has just started to make a clunking rattle noise with her lower jaw like its a bit stiff. Its done really quickly and the only way you could simulate it as a human is to relax your mouth place a hand under your chin and tap it upwards quickly.

Any ideas what this could be, she's not in pain perfectly happy - but doing it alot?

I don't what it could be jason, but,it doesn't sound normal.I would take her to the vet just to be on the safe side.

Hi I discovered it was the hair around her mouth was too long and going inside, it was irritating her. Since trimming the hair around the muzzle area she has stopped.
