In one of the Beta Band songs is a line "Daydream, fell asleep amid the flowers for a couple of hours". This also appears on an advert for a car. Can anyone tell me, is this a Beta Band song sampled for the car ad, is it another song who by? sampled by bothe the Beta Band and the car ad? If it is another song, who is it by?

Thanks in advance.

The song your after is Daydream in blue by i monster.
Both tracks sample the same source, a ghastly 1970s easy listening number by the Gunther Kallman Choir called "Daydream". It's on that "Easy Listening" double compilation album that you always find in the middle of charity shop record boxes, that's been sitting there for years and years and no-one ever buys.

The Beta Band and I Monster both sampled the track at around the same time.

Beta Band were to release the track "Squares" featuring the sample as the first track from their second album(after a poorly recieved first album)

I Monster released their song first though and so the Beta Band track bombed
