Or out enjoying themselves. As a young single girl Friday night was when we all got together and planned the weekend, and I often didn't get home until the early Sunday morning. Great memories! Best days of my life.

You've made me think what I used to do on Friday nights so I could join in but it made me realise that apart from maybe 3 months I have not been single since I turned 16. I've never really experienced being out with the girls :-(

I was more than likely out with the boys! I loved being free and single. It ended at 25.

When I started going out regularly on a Friday night, it was with two friends. I’d take two pounds with me as that would buy 2 rounds as a pint of Teltley’s was 33p

Yes, we're out. Visiting friends for the weekend. We have had a good few glasses of fizz tonight and we will do the same tomorrow and the next night. You are only young once!

I have only ever been really drunk on one occasion. Lots of occasions though being somewhat merry.

Well we would have been out, MissT but.....after a fun night last night, rugby in the pub tomorrow and an unexpected music session in the Holy Well on Sunday we decided to give our livers a bit of a rest tonight.

Oh, those were the days!

We were all quite skint back then. We’d load up with wine or Cinzano (yuk!) before going out and then spend 50p per half pint of Stella, until somehow, eventually, finding our way home.
