Erm , you forgot the Yorkshire pudding ?
Question Author
OMG so I did Baz, no Aunt Bessies here mind ya :)
Roast belly pork with crackling, apple sauce, roasties, spring greens, mashed turnip, gallons of gravy and yorkshires, if OH makes them ,cos mine always turn out more like brake discs -his like fluffy cloud's makes me so annoyed! Jammy Roo to go with the pork then a bottle of prosecco for afters with jelly babies.
What's sqad interest ?
Question Author
S'funny Mr B makes the yorkies here as well APG tall with a deep hole in the middle to pour my gravy into....
I'm wanting jelly babies now :0(
Question Author
He doesn't like what's for dinner threads Baz, haha
Squad said earlier that he was fed up of people talking about the weather and what they are eating.
I agree!
OH makes 'wet salad' to go with the Yorkshires -shredded lettuce with vinegar and sugar mixed in -its very nice -think it must be a northern thing.
Toad in the Hole with broccoli and carrots. Jammy Roo and whatever icecream type desert I can find in the freezer.
Ooh, I really fancy a Yorkshire pud now.
I had chicken noodle soup for my main meal.
Nice, but...
Question Author
Now that sounds lovely APG think we'll have to give that a go ( the salad thingy)
Urghh, horrible.I will stick with my deep-fried Mars Bar in batter. And maybe a meally jim on the side.
Question Author
What's a meally Jim ( on the side ) ?.
Hmmm, I’m not sure about the wet salad. My dad’s family were from oop north. Never heard of it and really don’t like the sound of it. Perhaps I’d try it without the sugar.
@16.42.A white pudding,of course,Bobbi.
Question Author
ynnafymmi Never heard of that , if it's like black pudding then it's a eughhhh from me :(
@16.48.Nah,one of many of Scotlands culinary oddities.Made out of oatmeal(very, very healthy for you)and lard(very, very unhealthy for you).If us Scots ate more oatmeal based products other than lard-based products, then perhaps Scotland wouldnt have the worst heart-attack deaths in the world:-(
I'm not eating til later, but it will be crispy roast duck legs, and butter fried parsnip. I'm trying APGs Jam Shed Shiraz also.
