Moths like butterflies vary a great deal in lifespan some only a day some weeks do not forget that these insects have several stages of development egg larva pupa adult so they live so to speak in many ways for varying times eg some butterflies hybernate i do not know if any Moths hybernate as this is not really my field although this would make a good question...
