So my pooch, Willis (my avatar) has been approached on Instagram by a London pet modelling agent asking if he'd like to featured on the books...? I know it's legitimate, and said yes! (about time he starts paying rent!) But this has been met by ridicule from friends and family. Are they right? Am I 'barking' mad?

As long as it is legitimate and Willis will be happy with it, go for it ....
Go for it, I had a stunning English Springer Spaniel that was on TV adverts and dog food advertising, he loved to please people and it never went to his head.
How lovely! (Tilly is green with envy.)

I hope it works out well for you both. Is he an amenable little dog?
If Willis can fit it into his busy schedule and likes travelling, why not.

We have two lovely rescues, a Staffie and a Staffie Rottie cross, I would love an offer like that tbh.
I too would love my pretty little dog Jill to be a model, she'd LOVE it ....

Aww thank you for the support everyone!! I'll let you know if any work comes out of it, and if so, where he might be featured!!
If you know it's genuine, then go for it. Best of luck!

It's commented on by everyone who meets him that Bruno, the Rottie cross has a permanent smile on his face, he'd luv it.
Yes, go for it. I know a Labrador who modelled, he was in the Argos catalogue at one time, and he loved it.
Hoe lovely. He’ll be immortalised.
Lol. How to hoe
I give up!
why not ? will pay for his pedigree Chum for a while at least !

It is sort of meeting and greeting that dogs like. You know your dog's character and will know if he might like it. Good luck ♥

However, I have no idea how they get their feline friends to 'act'

Don't models have to use CATwalks???

Surely no DOG would do that, would they?

;-)

[I still think it's a sound idea though!]
