Cat with a weird habit

Another cat question!  My cat is obsessed with licking plastic carrier bags, sometimes she licks for half an hour or more.  If I try to take the bag away, she gets upset!  Her favourite bag is the Andrex loo paper wrapper.  Is this bad for her? Can anyone explain what this is all about?

I suppose the ink could be poisonous if she licks it off, try to keep her licking a non printed bag!  Don't know why though, maybe it has a certain smell.
