dog hates hedehogs

I have a very soft cuddly lovable doberman but for some strange reason he hates hedgehogs, if he finds one he shakes it till it dies. He is not like this with anything else we have 2 cats as well.

We had a Doberman who hated Hedgehogs, but he just used to stand barking and barking at the poor thing who would just curl up in a ball.  He resembled Pluto, the cartoon character!
