Can anyone tell me why I am recently getting hundreds of Daddy long legs flying around my house. we only ever have one window slightly open and they seem to be invading me!! Why???? When is the "season" up for them!!? When will they go away!?

Thanks for any suggestions!

We have loads at the moment, they came early this year(started in julyish) but usually they're gone by middle sept.our back door is nearly always open so thats why we have them, the dog tends to catch and eat them though.

My cat caught and ate a daddy long legs last night, despite me trying to save it (I like them!)
I helped one last week, it had a bit of fluff on it's leg and I caught it and held 1 wee leg in 1 hand and pulled the fluff off with the other, aint I nice? lol
Don't you like them?
I though you was gonna say you held one leg and then let it try to fly away(that cruel) they dont bother me,although I tend to find a few soggy ones  that parker spits out.
I hope they go away very soon,I've always hated the creepy things. Also my cat likes to try and catch them and the way she jumps and flings herself around the rooms I'll have no ornaments/furniture left soon!
I'd rather daddy longlegs to mosquitos any day, having just moved back to the UK I am greatly relieved not to hear them homing in on me every night, lol
We've got loads of them aswell. Most evening will find me running round the house catching them and throwing them out of a window or the back door, which probably lets another 2 in!
I'm not too fond of them either, but we've only to put up with them until October - and then that's it for another year!
God yeah the daddy long legs!!!!! Oh i hate them so so much, we dont smoke in doors at my house so i have to go outside and they always come flying in in their thousands and i was really starting to mad, i had past the stage of going out there with a brush and trying to kill them all because they just kept comming back but by about a thousand more each time! I did find one very good way of getting rid of them if they are already in your house and thats using "RAID" fly spay the blue one is best and kills the little suckers in seconds!! Ha Ha so mean. well not long now till they will all be gone but i might have givven up before then!!
