It says in the manual it is a Hewlett Packard deskjet 840C but it is a  ff ee. cc. kk  ii.  nn  not because it just argues back at me at every turn, what am i doing wrong, is it a Karma thing?

ok first of all shouting at a printer wont make it work try maybe anger management ( hehe :D ) any they don't tend to argue they give error codes or error descriptions, do you get anything like this?

no, but I get paper jammed in it and an orange flashing light.

yea i had that problem, the paper feed was ******, so i just gave up and got a new printer.
