This is why my good lady and myself are so keen to do the work that we do but nothing in comparison to these guys but we do get immense satisfaction from the looks on people faces. "You cant put that in your wage packet" is what I tell other carers when they are moaning about the crap pay and then you see one of our residents smile.
Well said, ratter. I have certain memories of working with people with dementia, that I'll never forget. Even something like someone learning my name. It wouldn't sound much to most people- but i know what it means.
