I do feel sorry for her at this time of night when I keep bobbing into the kitchen, whilst cooking. She has problems getting up but follows me in and out. Poor thing. It's such a struggle for her.

I just posted something for all you dog lovers in Animals & Nature x My cats used to follow me about all the time, I miss it so much. If they were out when I can home they'd come running down the road miaowing the little heads off to meet me then start rolling about.

Our dog is also like that, Yilly. However in our dogs case I think that she is frightened of missing something.

I'm sure it's the same with mine. I could tell her to sit and stay but she would get anxious. She does like to be where I am.

Our Kim is like that, you're never alone with a Doberrman
It's not for missing out, it's because you are her pack leader....she is devoted to you. The biggest punishment for any dog is exclusion from the 'family' pack.
The kitchen is also a favourite place
Our dog drives me mad when my husband goes anywhere, he sits crying the whole time husband is gone, 5 minutes or 5 hours it makes no difference, he tries to follow him everywhere, except bed, unless I've gone to work, then he knows he will be allowed in the bedroom.
Bit tricky when it is the loo. Leaves little room for the newspaper.

Yes, sibs. kitchen, food, food kitchen.

Traci, mine moves and sits at the door about five minutes before Mr Tilly comes home. She does it when I'm out too. It's a bit uncanny.
Sorry about your dog Traci. Pretty rotten for both of you.
The dog has got really bad since daughter, son in law and grandsons left home a few weeks ago, I think he's a bit scared that if husband goes he won't come back like they did!
And would you be without them?

I suspect a resounding 'No' is the answer to that.
Well thats a resounding no from me, DT.
I'd agree with DT - dogs like to be with the pack leader - as Traci confirms.

Dogs soon suss out who is in charge, and that's the person who will get the attention from them.

NO!
lol andy, in my house, the person who gets followed is the biggest mug most likely to dish out the dog biscuits!

We have two dogs. One's mine and the other is Mr Tilly's.

Just looked at it Eve. Thank you very much.
My cat does that. Follows me everywhere into the loo into the shower he sits just out of reach of the water.
My cats run out to meet us whenever they hear a car coming back, but it's the dogs that sleep on your feet, follow you to the toilet, try to dry you when you get out of the bath, etc. Our youngest cavalier, who's one, greets us like we've been away for 5 years if we pop out to get something from the car.
