I have three ST Bernards and the eldest has been moulting since we got him as a pup, we bought a new Vax vacuum cleaner yesterday as we go through so many but the vents on the bottom cause the hair to fly everywhere while vacuuming so it defeats the object, I wondered whether any AB'ers could recommend a really good vac for families with large dogs which moult none stop?

I've got a Henry, which is great. We have long haired dogs, a long haired cat and two short-haired.
Just waiting for someone to say - i have a pet vacuum cleaner, but my cat still won't do it!
You can buy nozzles for some vacuums that will let you vacuum your dog. Our dog loved being vacuumed.
I asked this question a few weeks ago and was recommended a Miele Cat and Dog. Pricey but so worth it.

I bought it in Currys for £234
Lol, when the hoover comes out the dog goes into attack mode, I'd never get near enough to hoover him
Now, if only you'd consulted Which? before buying......
If you want an upright cleaner....Dyson Animal
If you want a "cylinder"..............Miele Cat & Dog.
