I know the RSPCA tell yopu to put suntan lotion on their noses wich i do but when the warm weather comes he just looks so warm ,just wondered of any cooling ideas !

PS: Just to tell you who keep asking me about wether or not we have got mange to find a dog or puppy ,well we are still looking for the right one my mum is thinking of a greyhound because of their lovely temperant with people but we are thinking of getting  a bitch dog called Buddy from the RSPCA centre !!!! grey hounds are sight hunters and may not have a lovely temperament with your cat!

HI Chrisandbex, I have 3 cats at different ages, 15yrs, 4yrs & 10mths all three were out side yesturday here in Hertfordshire and the heat reached 30 degrees, you shouldn't worry too much about your cat & the hot weather because if  "MIFFY" is like mine she will find a shade to lie under or come indoors and find somewhere cool ( mine did yestuerday ) . Just make sure she has fresh water put down each day, my mum has a pure white cat she limits him going out side in the hot weather because the tips of his ears get burnt she applies sun lotion to prevent this happening.

I agree with woofgang grey hounds are not an ideal dog to mix with cats, if you go to the rescue centre they will tell this.   Good Luck in finding the perfect companion/pal for Miffy & your family.  :-)

does Miffy have a pink or dark nose? if miffy has a dark nose u don't have to pute sun screan on his nose but if he had a pink nose u do or u could use a not toxic black marker and colour his nose with it..i heard that from some vet show 1 time...
Having owned a black/white cat for 15 years, there's really little you can do. If it's hot, they will sleep outside, and naturally seek shade, so as long you have enough shade, they'll be fine. Putting sun cream on the ears/nose is a good idea in principle, but generally cats do what they want.
