Lots of people swear by Advocate, but we don't like it, we prefer Stronghold (which does need a prescription if you buy it on-line, but it really works for us)
just going through the same here. 9 year old springer has fleas....frontline is useless so got to take beast to vet tomoz to get avocet.
I find advocate really good!.........

thanks :0)
If you get Frontline spray on prescription from your vet that will work better than any over the counter stuff.
we have just bought the seresto collars for our dogs, They are new. They apparently last for eight months, which make them (for me) better value for money, despite the fact they are £30 to begin with http://www.seresto.com/en/splash.php
ps, so far so good
Just a follow up. Got Advocate on tuesday from vets and put on dog in the eve. By thursday, not a flea to be seen.
pleased to hear that hammerman, I use advocate and have found it really great so far..............
