Hi Lankeela, we have changed the dressing today on Keeva's foot, not looking good, all the stitches have pulled through and we are back to where we were I think.

We were warned this could happen, not sure what will happen now, back to vets Grrr Keeva just isnt bothered by any of this, it is just so sad to see her face when I take the boys out for their walks, she just steps aside for them to out, she just stays behind them knowing she will be left behind, poor girl :(

Sorry to hear this (and sorry I got her name wrong!). Hope the vet can do something to sort it once and for all. Have you tried the Cut-Heal - it really does work wonders, healing from the inside out.
Hi lankeela! Sorry, but ratter is suspended so can't answer your question. I changed Keeva's bandage yesterday and found that while the deep stitches seem to be holding, the top ones are not. The vet had warned us that this may happen. It also seems still a bit swollen where it has split open again. I put in the antibiotic cream as advised by the vet and re-bandaged her. As she had chewed on the boot she had been wearing, I took two of my thick socks and put them over the bandage securing it with some duck tape around the top of the sock, so it is now far more comfortable for her. I have to take the bandage off again tomorrow and if the swelling has gone down I will do what a wolfie friend has advised and put some steri strips across it to give it some extra hold, then a sticky bandage with some gause on top of that and then the padding and a vet wrap bandage. And then the socks again. Seems like a lot, but anything that will help, I will do! She isn't at all bothered by her injury. While this is of course good, it also means she wants to be a puppy and jump and play, which is not at all good! I think this is going to take quite some time to heal, so no walks, no shows etc for the forseeable future. I'll keep you posted as to her progress. If you have any advice, please let me know as I am always grateful for new ideas. Hugs from me and the ratter.
