Does it work?
Caspar developed cat acne and a bad case of dermatitis after being treated for fleas a while back. With the right combination of treatments, he is finally showing improvement. But he's still stressed from it all.
Will Feliway help...it's quite expensive-so I need some realistic feedback.

Yes pasta it is expensive, about £30 here for the spray but it helped my old cat Maggie. You may (or not) recall I wrote on here about Maggie peeing on my bed, sometimes when I was in it! I took advice and got some Pampers bed mats that I lie under a towel at the bottom of the bed so that if she does have an accident it doesn't soak through to the mattress. Then I spray the towel with Feliway to calm her down and since I have done that she has only had one incident of peeing in 2/3 months and that was on a day when I forgot to spray the towel. So my advice would be to give it a go. Hope this helps.
Get the spray not the plug in - the spray is better value

I was just reading your posts,ladybirder....;-))

I will get the spray....and it's about half price on Amazon and Ebay.
pasta - your post make me smile. Remember when cats were all tough and never seemed to be ill. Your Caspar has acne and my Frankie is asthmatic, Merlin is just stupid ->>>> what happened to all the big tough cats?
Pasta, No1 Son is being treated with Bactroban at the moment of feline acne, he does get stressed with the treatment - but as the acne is clearing up, he's getting much more calm about the whole thing. I would just leave Caspar to calm down himself - lots of cuddles and reassurance are doing it for my boy.
I use the plug in version for Smoke the Mog. They last about a month & the refill is about £12. It does work. I've got one plugged in now reasy for bonfire night & the Mog is so relaxed he's flat on his back with all 4 paws in the air snoring gently.
Mine are like that anyway, most of the time, these days!
It seems I spoke too soon. Just has my toes attacked. Still, he'll be on the Serene Um tablets from next weekend so he should be very mellow after that.

Caspar *is* coming out of his shell a bit...he is getting back to his noisy self, after having been rather silent and miserable recently... ;-) He didn't even want any cuddles,boxy.....

wolfie-I suspect they never were all that tough-it's all been a ruse to get us to be their slaves.
