Hi everyone! I am currently making a load of dog collars and was wondering what type of dog collars do our answerbank doggy people prefer: Fixed collar, soft slip collar (martingale collar), chain martingale collar, choke collar, prong collar etc?
Could you please tell me what breed your doggie is, what kind of collar you use and what the approximate circumference of your dog's neck is? I have so far only made collars for our Irish Wolfhounds, but have now started making them for friends. I have not yet made any small dog collars and want to look into doing collars for various breeds, but have no idea of sizing. Could any of you please let me know your dog's breed and the circumference of their necks please, so I can get an idea of what sizes each breed might need? Many thanks!

My daughter has two whippets, she has glorious embroidered collars for them but will show her yours too.

Thanks everyone! If anyone wants to contact me directly re. collars, please visit my photobucket where you will find the email address for the collars. This is not my main email address, but I do check it daily. Am so delighted that you all like what I am doing! I really only started out doing this for my own hounds and also to raise funds for the Irish Wolfhound Health Group research and the Irish Wolfhound Rescue. For those who would like a collar, I will put any info you need on my photobucket, as I don't want to go against AB rules. The link is :
