Have any of the AB cat-friends ever heard of this?

I took No. 1 son to the vet this morning because his chin was growing bobbly and stubbly - with black bits - it worried me that it was something worse (although he's not stopped eating). The vet diagnosed feline acne - gave him a 2-week jab of antibiotics - and said only to go back if it's not cleared up in a fortnight.

Anyone else had a mog suffering with this? - I'm curious about recovery time and whether it recurs.

Thanks wolfy, that's really helpful - No.1son looks like pic no. 2. I'm glad it's nothing worse - I thought his chin was just dirty at first, then spotted last night that it was spreading.

No 1's skin is improving but not much - the vet has now prescribed a cream for his chin which is the same as used on humans. Interesting that the leaflet inside doesn't mention animal use, but the vet seems to think it's OK!
