caracal and lynx

does anyone know what seperates a caracal from a lynx i have a project to do on this and i'm confused can anyone please help me out

Well the caracal is also known as the desert lynx, so i would suggest researchinng their habitats and where in the world they live- The differences could be similar to those between an African elephant and an Indian elephant, i suppose.

Caracals are sometimes called African Lynx but they aren't actually lynxes.  Their genus is Caracal.

There are 4 species of lynx (genus Lynx) - Eurasian Lynx, Canada Lynx, Spanish Lynx and Bobcat.
