i went in the room in the end. ive come back to work today to try and keep my distracted.
it was all over very quickly, but im still thinking about her the whole time, like expecting her to pop her head round my bedroom door.
was very strang seeing her just very still, it was peaceful though.
im still flooding out the house in tears! think we may need a pump soon :'(

thank you for your support though carmalee xx
Think of the good times and remember her with a smile, knowing you did the right thing.
I am sorry to hear about Fizzy - your little sister. It is amazing how cats can treat us with pure disdain and yet we love them in spite of this, or maybe it is because of it.

My old cat George looked so peaceful when he was lying on the table - he had had a miserable few days and was old, blind and senile. It is nice to give them a loving and peaceful end - it is the least that we can do for a friend who has enriched our lives so much.

Think of the 'fun' times (that covers the times you were woken at three in the morning coz Fizzy was bored and/or hungry) and get out any photographs. Talk about her to your family and friends. Thump anyone who comes out with the "it was only a cat" line - thankfully there is more understanding of bereavement when the dearly departed was non-human these days.

I was in bed sleeping as I was feeling ill - Frankie (in my avatar) came along and barfed on my bed. He is such a lovely little monster - and so is his sister - but I'm thinking Wheelie Bins.

Laugh and cry as much as you want.

thank you sue, i know i hate it when people say its only a cat. she wasnt only a cat to me.
you saying to think of the times when she came in my room early made me laugh, she used to bite and pull on my hair so she could have a stroke, the cheeky little thing! and her pur was like something from a machine gun, a very strange sound indeed! plus when she walked on you it felt like she was wearing high heels it hurt so bad.
but im looking at photos alot and its not really getting easier, just 'different' least i have the other 2 little horrors. thanks x
