Some do. The Monarch butterfly migrates in winter and the likes of salmon migrate thousands of miles to the ground where they themselves were hatched.
The European Eel makes a migratory journey to the Sargasso Sea in the Atlantic to mate or spawn every year.
And this year we have had millions of Painted Lady butterflies in Britain. They migrate from the Atlas Mountains in North Africa .The butterfly was seen as far north as Scotland.
