Dunno how old you are but have you considered changing his name to Clarence?
Question Author
i do remember Clarence the cross eyed lion (just!) and i have called him that a few times.
Cats sometimes momentarily appear cross-eyed just before they drop off to sleep, or just after they wake. If it happens at other times, it would be a good idea to get him checked out by the vet, to see how well his pupils react to light, and the general health of his eyes can be checked at the same time. It shouldn't be too costly. Much better to be safe than sorry later. My Tansy is 21 years old, with only one eye, and she's on blood pressure tablets to protect the eye. My Frankie is a gorgeous ginger Tom, a rescue cat, who has epilepsy, so he's on daily medication too. They are both doing fine. So good luck with your lovely cat. By the way what is his real name. We'll be thinking of you
