Eeeek!

Ok, so on Friday we are taking Ashke and Cleo to the kennels on friday, Ashke has been before but this will be Cleos first time!

We have them staying in the same kennel as I dont think Cleo would cope being away from Ashke.

Cleo normally sleeps on the bed by my bed at night (until she comes to invade my bed space!) but we knw that if we take her bed with us, they will have a tug off war and shred it!

She has 3 beds we can take, and Ashke has blankets, but they wont last with the 2 of them together.

Advice please!?

Also, is there anything else other then their beds and strong toys that we can take for them?

Ta!

Hi Wiggal! I think you have covered it all - the only other thing I can think of is perhaps a couple of old jumpers or similar with your scent on them, to put with the bedding.

I'm sure they will be fine and well looked after. My lovely collie cross (bless him - long since departed) would go into our local kennels wagging his tail (with his doggie belongings and something of ours) and then when we picked him up, he would still be wagging his tail and looked fit, healthy and happy.

I must admit, i did worry about him while we were away (which wasnt for long) but i guess he made himself very much at home at the kennels and settled down. He was a little hoarse tho (obviously joining in with the barking etc!) but it didn't last for long.

Have a wonderful hol - Im sure Cleo and Ashke will be fine. Imagine the home coming!!!! LOL xxx
Ps: Its lovely that they are boarding together :o)xx
Max goes into kennels 2 or 3 times a year (for long weekends only) and we take his blanket and current favorite toy with him. He's no problem at all till he gets to the long country lane leading to the kennels when he starts to give out the little whimpers which continue untill one of the girls comes for him then off he trots tail wagging leaving us feeling guilty while he basks in the attention he gets from the girls, So don't worry I'm sure they'll be ok

Ta alfieblue and paddywak!

Have just been to see our nxt door neighbour who is coming into feed the cats, and sorted things with her!

Would have liked to have put them in a cattery, but that just isnt an option! Think they would be much hapier at home anyway!

Will take a couple of old bitsof clothing for the dogs as you suggest!
