how do you remove fly eggs & tick from a hedge hogs ear.will after shave kill the fly eggs , remember a hedgehog rolls up when you touch it

i've killed the fly eggs and killed and removed one tick, but i'm afraid the creature must have a infection or illness as it is slipping fast and don't expect it to survive the night.
Have just seen your query; the hog is probably in another world now, however, for future reference. Ticks can easily be removed with tweezers or they eventually drop off. If plucking a tick off the head should not be left in as this will cause infection. Fly eggs can be combed off with a fine toothed comb, if in ear a cotton bud plus a little mild salt water to flush out.

Remember hedgehogs should NOT be given bread and milk, fresh water is essential and some cat or dog food.
