I think its great that you can share pictures of one of your family on the www - I certainly share pictures of my girl with everyone who wants to see her but haven't got the technical ability to do this as a link. Prehaps AB should set up a sub topic in Pets where the question would always be do you want to see a picture of my? (whatever your pet is)

I actually have a picture of my last cat on my debit card. I was going to take it off when he died, but will leave it until I get the newly adopted ones to stand still long enough to photograph together.

My cats (and previous dogs and cats) are my babies and I am proud of them.
Hi ruby ..it's quite easy .If you have digital photos stored on your computer you can use Tinypic to upload them onto messageboards .
http://tinypic.com/
Click on Browse and then you can select a photo you want to use then just cut and paste the URL into your message .If you hover over the links they give you with your mouse it will tell you which link to use.

First of all thank you very much shaneystart2 for telling me how to share pictures
Just to brag at bit - my pics of Leila are of a rescue dog first night at my house. Apparently never before been in a house so didn't know what a sofa was!!!!!!!!!!!!!
paddywak I got the pics - wonderful.
Have to go now as my real girl as opposed to e- dog needs a fuss

paddywak
Gorgeous!. Thanks for sharing, I just wanted to pick up and cuddle.
Iam not going to talk to you about loss etc. We all know how terrible it is - time does not heal it just makes it easier to bear
Question Author
Have come back as others are talking to Leila
What do you think, has shaneystar2 started something. I have and it would appear that paddywak have done something new - we have posted pictures or our family (the rather hairy family as opposed to male spouses). Is it only me that would rather view pixs of our family rather than the somewhat (in my opinion) odd/challenging/ i can not understand threads on AB
I like the threads that stick to the point and don't become personal chatter that nobody else understands. We should have a chat section, where we can show off the pictures of our hairy children.

My brother is not interested in my two cats - but I need somewhere that I can brag about the stupid things that they do. He has two human children - bald puppies or bald kitties.

Frankie is barfing/hurling for Scotland just now and I am like any neurotic mother. He is alert, getting better but should we go to the vet? Just like a mother of a bald puppy.

It is also 0126 am and I am up because Frankie was being too quiet - I worried that he wasn't trashing the place like usual.

Piccies - we need piccie.
Thought I'd join in the picture posting....hope this works! If it does, you are looking at [a not brilliant] picture of my Great Dane Floyd who died 6 weeks ago.....

Like i said....not the best pic in the world, but that's him sitting on his sofa, about two weeks after this pic was taken he actually got his own room!!!! Not that he was spoilt or anything....lol

wolf63 never thought of freinds and families children as bald puppies but I may well in future. Is Frankie better?Look forward to seeing the pictures when you get them. Good luck Garner - its not that difficult as divegirl, paddywak and I discovered.
Divegirl as if we would ever spoil - just making their well being our priority
What lovely pictures ! Glad you managed the links !
Funny how these rescue dogs seem to know where they are well off .Shaney was a rescue .He had been dumped in a builders yard by some pikey types who drove off and left him.
My neighbour at the time (this is when we lived in London) worked at this yard and asked me if I would take him on .I did um and ah a bit as we had lost our old pooch not long before aged 17. But I am so glad I took him.He came in ..had a meal ..plonked himself in a basket I had hurriedly bought and ten years later he is still here living the life of Riley !
Nice to see other peoples pets and to know it's not just me who spoils their friends.Sorry about your loss divegirl, every pet lover knows just how upsetting it is to loose a well loved friend but at least you always have the memories of the goodtimes. Glad you liked Max, Ruby unfortunatley he's now to big to pick up & cuddle but that doesn't stopping from trying to climb onto my knee when he thinks he's being ignored.
Hi paddy, just had to remark on what a stunning looking beast Max is.... :o] Che is beautiful too....he had that classic police dog look! I miss my baby more than words can say, but I'm pleased that I've been able to show him to everyone. I even tried to post a vid of him through tinypic...but it won't let me :o[ .... I will not let it defeat me though....I'll just wait until my son gets home and let him do it!!!! lol

What I try and do with bereavement of hairy and non hairy family is accept that it is an equation. Amount of love and pleasure gained = amount of pain when they have gone. It doesn't make it ok but helps me to know that the only reason it hurts so much was it was so good before it ended.
Its lovely seeing the pics - should try another thread asking if anyone has pics they want to show, just in case they are not reading this
Even tho we had always had dogs, when I lost Che I couldn't believe how upset I was, probably because he was the first dog who was "mine" as opposed to a shared family pet. For a long time every time I saw a GSD I choked up, but believe me divergirl eventually you get over it . You 'll never forget him (I sometimes find myself calling Max Che)
but you'll just remember the happy times you had together.
