Give it a human name. It's funny when you take the dog to the park and start shouting it's name. Watch how many people turn when you shout 'Lucy, come here Lucy'
Hush......
I always remember a story one of my parents friends told me about 10years ago when I was 11. They were getting a new female dog and they asked their 4 year old daughter what they should call it. She replied with "roy" when asked why - especially as this was a male name, she said that it was because if they ever lost the dog and anyone shouted "oi" the dog would respond and they'd always find it. Clever for a 4 year old. Probably not what you want to call a female dog tho. Just a chance to tell my story really, how sad?! lol :) x
ummmm we've had a few of them and they are good, we had a Hamster called Dennis and more recently Tracy. But years 20 years ago my friend had a labrador called Alan and another had a canary called Colin. I also had a friend whose cats were called Acoombs and Alyst, usually people would say eh? and he would reply yeah Cat...Acoombs, and Cat...alyist! so Zorro's Hush would work along the same lines while she's a puppy.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuum - think I need more help - cant call her Roy!!

How about Royetta!!
depends what sort of dog it is doesnt it? fluffy is hardly the name for a bull mastif and a toy poodle called butch will be teased by all the other dogs in the rec.

I had a border collie called Laddie, how original lol but my cats are called piglet (she has no chin like winnie the pooh's little friend) Weed (little runt) and squiffy (named after a univertsity broom, dont ask)

Crickey Red - you are one crazy person!!

Have you got kids and what are they called??!!
lol Sally, my son has a very traditional name.

My ex hubby did want to call one our cats 'F off' because he wanted to stand at back door in eve and shout for it.

whats wrong with squiffy? :)

my boyfriend has 2 cats named after chocolate bars.
I love the 'human names' too. My friend has a cat called Pete and someone my mum knows has two dogs called Dave and Barbara! I love it.

How about a name like this? Let's say, Carol or something? lol
Ok i do human names too. When my mum asked me what i wanted to call my kitten when i was about 5, i said susan! Mum didnt like it though so she ended up being called susie instead.

JOEY - lol Barbara - made me laugh so much!!

Cant have Carol as one of my best friends is called that - would hate to offend her hee hee!!
You need to think about a name you can happily shout in the park. My ex had a Rottweiller called Bubbles. How stupid did I feel shouting Bubbles at the top of my voice to a Rottie. My cats are called Nilla, Tequila and Moomin (thankfully I don't have to shout these out in a park).
Okay if not Carol how about Wendy?
No changed my mind about Wendy, its got to be something better...like errrm, Judith? Gail? Mavis? Lynn?

Miss Inquiry - how funny my daughter calls me Mummy Moomin!!

I like Mavis (I wanted Betty but got shouted down!!)
my step dad has two bulldogs, dolly and betty. I think you should go for something like this - mavis is good!!! Or Winifred - Winnie for short?!!

My friend had a flat coat retriever called Cookie, when she died they got another one and called her Crumpet, I think Crumpet is a cute name but they've shortened it to Crum now!!!
I like human names too, seems to make them more like one of the family!
We have had Donald, Tess, Chloe, Tinkerbelle, Enid, Winnie, Nellie, Pippa, Edward, Honey, all gone to heaven now and we still have Basil, Rosie and Tinkerbelle!

Have a lovely day tomorrow with your new baby!
