Vibrating Dog Collar

I have a little "rescue rascal" dog and have just purchased a vibrating collar. The instruction of the fitting states "If your pets neck is less than 12"around you will need to thread the part of the collar which includes the antenna through the buckle. It will be a tight fit.
This tight fit seems impossible.
Am I correct in endeavouring to thread the collar through the buckle that holds the vibrator - I don't think it can be done.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Many thanks

I looped the extra long bit back on its self and a loopy knot, mine only kept hers on for a little while each time

What the **** is a vibrating dog collar supposed to do?
^^^^vibrate....

maybe mikey would find one of these useful for his little willy

I suppose if you have not got a clue how to train a Dog a vibrating collar must seem like a good idea but ... .. .
Will JJ get one for maxie and his 'little sausage'?
Sue, it will depend which particular brand of collar as to how the fixing can be adapted - there are some videos but all are different makes.

Have a look on Google.
Why are you using this collar, Sue?
If it's the "Pet-Ed Rechargeable and Waterproof Training Collar", the correct thing to do is throw it in the bin, and get a dog-lover to help you train your dog.

Sue, please please don't use it. Throw the vibrator in the bin and instead take your dog to training classes. My dog would be terrified if I used one of those on him, and so will yours. Is this your first dog? What exactly if the problem? Perhaps we can help.
^ Is, not if.

She goes to dog training classes.
She is not at all terrified.
Had rescue dogs all my life.
Using this is better than getting killed.
sue can you explain 'using this is better than getting killed' do you mean the dog or the handler?
If it is the one I have used in the past, it vibrates gently against the dog when it barks all the time.
You need to train your dog properly, these collars are really not a good idea!

What are the problems you are facing that you feel the need to use such a collar?
Can I point out at this stage it is not the electric shock collar, it just vibrates like a mobile phone.
whatever the problem is it must be serious if not using the collar results in someone or something being killed. Genuinely interested hope the OP comes back to explain.
Wonder how vibration stops a dog barking?
